Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have passed Master Degree or its equivalent qualification with minimum 55% marks from a recognized Board.
- Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying master degree examination and whose results are still awaited are eligible to apply
- Aspirants whose qualifying examination have been delayed are also eligible to apply
- Ph.D. Degree holders whose master level examination had been completed by 19th September 1992 will get a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in APSET

About APSET:
In view of the ramification of the state, the government of Andhra Pradesh had two GOs. Ms. No. 57 of the Department of the University has identified the University of Andhra as a node and GO agency. The Department of Higher Education appointed Secretary President and member of the management and the monitoring committees to carry out the AP SET exam 2019. Given the high demand for hiring as assistant teachers by direct hiring or promotion in universities and colleges in the newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh, Andhra University prepared the proposal for the AP SET exam Government of Andhra Pradesh & Apsche to UGC, New Delhi.
There are 26 universities, 146 government degree universities, 1192 universities supported in Andhra Pradesh. The University Scholarship Commission, New Delhi, has the University of Andhra, Visakhapatnam, to carry out three state competency tests (SET) in the next three years (once a year) for the state of Andhra Pradesh, on the 21st. April 2016 is granted accreditation of this accreditation was issued on the basis of the recommendation of the Accreditation Committee of the University of Andhra, on March 28, 2016a The accreditation was granted in 31 subjects.
