BJP Leader L.K Advani received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions in Lok Sabha
Veteran BJP Leader L.K. Advani received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions as a parliamentarian in Lok Sabha. JD-U leader Sharad Yadav also received the Lifetime Achievement Award as a Rajya Sabha representative from Vice President Hamid Ansari at the function organised by the Lokmat Media Group to honour distinguished Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Ram Nath Kovind becomes India 14th President
BJP led National Democratic Alliance nominee Ram Nath Kovind former Bihar Governor won the Presidential Polls today with 65.6 percent translating into 702,044 electoral college votes. He will be sworn in on July 25, the first from the BJP and the second Dalit to enter the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Kovind opposite Meira Kumar has secured 34.35 percent of votes.
Unique Identification Authority of India has launched the mAadhaar app for mobile
As per the latest news, UIDAI has launched mAadhaar app for mobile. Now you don’t need to carry Aadhar card every where for the verification and availing Aadhaar based services. A User can download Aadhaar number profile through their smartphones and will therefore not require hard copies of the card. It allows users to carry their Aadhaar demographic information on their smartphones. The app is currently available for download on Google Play Store and will be soon available on IOS.

The UAE Minister of State for Tolerance Sheika Lubna Al Qasimi is this year most powerful Arab Woman in government according to the latest rankings by Forbes Middle East. Australia became the 35th country to join the International Solar Alliance
The International Solar Alliance ISA has swollen to 35 countries this week following the admission of Australia. The ISA was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then French President Francois Hollande at the COP21 UN summit on climate change in Paris. More than 100 countries have expressed an interest in joining the alliance but the number so far have been lower.

The Lahore High Court lifted a nine-month ban by the country media watchdog on the airing of Indian teleplays. Justice Shah, while terminating the ban unreasonable asked the regulatory body to review its policies.

The new note follows the introduction last year of a five-pound note made from a polymer film, which the central bank says is more durable and harder to forge.

Reliance Industries will invest Rs. 413 Crores into Balaji telefilms. The deal is a structure such that Balaji Telefilms would issue 2.5 crore preference shares at Rs. 164 per share. This amounts to 24.9 percent stake in Balaji telefilms for the most valued conglomerate.

World Football body FIFA said on Thursday it had lifted a ban imposed on Sudan last week for government interference in the sport. The Sudanese National Team has performed poorly in recent years, how ever and is ranked 49th in Africa.
