The Union Cabinet approves Social Security Agreement between India and the Netherlands
The Union Cabinet approves the Amendment of the bilateral SSA (Social Security Agreement) between the two countries India and Netherlands. By incorporating the two principles of Country of Residence into the said SSA, Union Cabinet approves this. The “Country of Residence” will be applicable In certain circumstances such as, the death of an Indian worker whose spouse and children living in India. It also includes an Indian worker working in Netherlands becomes disabled and returns to India.
Mumbai becomes the most expensive city in India according to Mercer’s 23rd annual Cost of Living Survey
According to 23rd annual Cost of Living Survey of Mercer, Mumbai ranks on 57th rank in the list of the most expensive city and inching towards the list of top 50 most expensive cities. New Delhi is on 99 and reaches the top 100. Chennai is on 135, Bangalore 166 and Kolkata on 184. Over the last years, rankings of Mumbai and New Delhi have substantially gone up.

Science and Technology Department launches the VAJRA scheme for attracting Indian scientists abroad
Visiting Advanced Joint Research Faculty (VAJRA) is a web portal which is launched by the Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Harshvardhan. While launching the portal, he said that the aim to launch this portal is to boost the research work and enabling new cutting-edge technologies that are now needed by India.
PSLV-C38, carrying 31 satellites, lifts off from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh
The PSLV-C38 is going to launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Center’s first launch pad. It carries 31 satellites whose total weight is 955 kg. This will be the 40th flight of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle and 17th flight that consists of solid strap-on motors. It will launch from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh along with 30 co-passenger satellites.

RBI reconstitutes the Oversight Committee by appointing 3 more members
The Reserve Bank of India reconstitutes the Oversight Committee by appointing 3 more members to the committee. According to the former Chief Vigilance Commissioner of RBI, Pradeep Kumar will now be the head of 5 member panel. Besides him, the other members of the committee are Janki Ballabh who is the former SBI Chairman, MD MBN Rao, former Chairman of Canara Bank, former Chairman of L&T TM Deosthalee, and a member of SEBI S Raman.
NATGRID (National Intelligence Grid) can access soon PAN, I-T records
The Centre has empowered the NATGRID is empowered by the Centre with an integrated mechanism for keeping track of data. Such data is related to security for accessing the Department of Income Tax. The record of the department on individual taxpayers as well as PAN card holders. NATGRID, as well as the I-T department, could sign a pact for operationalising the arrangement of data sharing.
