C- DOT has recently developed the public data office. Under this, the public data office can be installed at any neighborhood shop with low-cost Wi – Fi powered data packs. It creates Wi-Fi hotspots using 2G, 3G, or 4G signals and connects up to 100 mobiles.

Recently, the Bihar Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council has adopted the Bihar Goods and Service Tax (GST) Bill, 2017. With the Bihar Taxation (Amendment) Bill, 2017, this bill is approved. Under the leadership of the Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar,  Commercial taxes minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, this decision was taken.

Nirjuli, the First digital village in Arunachal Pradesh state

The Nirjuli village in Papum Pare district, Arunachal Pradesh has become the first digital village in the state. It aims at the cashless transactions in the village. The Arunachal Pradesh Sarkar will also provide the customer service point (CSP) for the Digitalisation.

Maharashtra state govt MoU with the Railway Ministry to expand green cover

The Maharashtra state govt has recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Railways. Under this MoU, the trees will be planted on the adjacent lands of the railway tracks in the state. The govt will plant 4 crore trees on July 1, 2017.

Kasinathuni Viswanath has won the Dadasaheb Phalke award 2016

Tollywood Filmmaker Kasinathuni Viswanath has been conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke award 2016. For his outstanding contribution to the film industry, he has won this prestigious award. Indian President Pranab Mukherjee will confer this award to Viswanath at a ceremony on May 3, 2017, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. He will be awarded the golden lotus, a cash prize of Rs10 lakh and a shawl.
