IGNOU announces exemption of fees for its transgender students
Indira Gandhi National Open University is one of the largest institutes in India for open and distance learning. It recently announces the fees exemption for its transgender candidates of all the programs. Students have to submit the certificates either issued from central or state government, or a medical officer. Otherwise, they can also produce their Aadhaar cards for availing the exemption in fee.

MP conducts a massive campaign for plantation for conserving the Narmada River
EPCO organizes the national seminar based on conserving River, Water, and Environment called “Manthan”. The seminar was organized in Bhopal on 8th May 2017 for developing a plan for future activities of conservation of River, Water, and Environment. The Madhya Pradesh Govt. entrusted the EPCO (Environmental Planning & Coordination Organisation), a government of MP Deptt. of Environment Org. for coordinating the seminar activities.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Rajeev Pratap Rudy laid foundation of country’s biggest Global Skill Park
Rajeev Pratap Rudy, the Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan has laid the foundation stone of one of the country’s biggest Global Skill Park in Bhopal. The Govt. decides to allot around the 37-acre land for Global Skill Park in the Narela Shankari area of Bhopal rhat costs around 645 crore rupees to construct this Skill Park. The park will function the good and effective spirit of ‘With Industry – For Industry’.

FINO Payments Bank commences operations as a payments bank
Fino Paytech decides to launch payment bank targeting the high domestic remittance areas including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. In the initial phase, it has decided to open around 400 branches. Fino Paytech is one of the entities that will receive in-principle approval from RBI. It will mainly focus on the areas that have maximum domestic remittances for extending its services of banking.
Moody rates GST positive, says GST will boost GDP of India
Moody’s Investors Service said on Sunday that implementation of GST will boost the Gross Domestic Product growth of India and will also increase the tax revenues. Moody gave the positive rating for the goods and services tax.

R.Karan Rajan from Tamil Nadu wins the Guatemala Future Series tournament after beating the Hamblers Heyamard of Guatemala by 21-19, 21-12 in the final match. In the opening game, Karan didn’t get an inch from both the players, but in the second game, Karan raises the game from the very start and didn’t allow his opponent to make a comeback.
