Kerela Govt implements Green Protocol for making Weddings more Nature-Friendly
The Kerala state government has implemented Green Protocol to make weddings nature-friendly in the state. This protocol aims to ban the plastic and other non-degradable articles from marriage functions. The state govt also bans the disposable glasses and plates and Thermo cool decorations. The Administration will also give the green marriage certificate to the weddings who obey this protocol.
PM Modi Government will replace UGC, AICTE soon with HEERA
University Grants Commission and All India Council for Technical Education will be replaced with Higher Education Empowerment Regulation Agency (HEERA). The Modi Govt will replace these 2 education regulators with a new Higher Education Regulator. To remove the irrelevant regulatory provisions, this decision is taken.
Rajnath inaugurates conference on disaster management
Home minister, Rajnath Singh has inaugurated a two-day national level conference on “Capacity Building of SDRF-2017”. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has organized this conference. This conference has been organized to develop a synergy and to strengthen the response capabilities of State Disaster Response Forces.

Nepal and China signed mega hydropower Agreement
Recently, Nepal and China signed the agreement to develop a 1,200-megawatt hydropower project. It is the country’s largest Hydroelectric plant in Nepal. The cost of this project is $ 2.5 million. China’s Gezhouba Group Corporation will develop this project.
India – Srilanka Agreement for developing Railway sector
Recently, India signs the 318 million US Dollar credit line agreement with Srilanka for developing railway sector. India has already provided four Lines of Credit through its EXIM Bank amounting of USD 966 million approximately. Currently, Indian development focusses on

NHB approves merger Aadhaar Housing Finance and DHFL Vysya Housing Finance
The National Housing Bank (NHB) has approved the Aadhaar Housing Finance and DHFL Vysya Housing Finance merger. Wadhawan family owned both companies and promoted Wadhawan Global Capital Pvt Limited. Aadhar Housing will merge with the DHFL Vysya and Make it has Pan-India company.
‘Assam Citizen Centric Service Delivery’ Project
India has signed a loan agreement with World Bank to develop the ‘Assam Citizen Centric Service Delivery’ Project for USD 39.2 million. The World Bank will give the total worth of USD 49 million. Assam State Budget. will provide 39.2 remaining fund.

RBI announces second Bi-monthly Monetary Policy
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced Second Bi-Monthly Monetary Policy Statement for the financial year 2017-18 on 7th June 2017. This is the fourth straight meeting wherein the Policy Repo Rate has been kept unchanged. The RBI has lowered the economic growth projection to 7.3% for the current financial year.
Axis Bank to issue biodegradable prepaid gift cards
Axis Bank has become the first bank to introduce biodegradable Gift cards in the country. The card has the look and feel just like the regular plastic cards and can be used in PoS terminals and ATMs. It can also recycle Biodegradable cards.
