Mughalsarai railway station renamed as RSS ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya
In Uttar Pradesh state, the Yogi Adityanath cabinet has renamed the Mughalsarai railway station to RSS ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Under the chairmanship of chief minister Adityanath Yogi, the State government has made this approval.
Union Ministry of Law and Justice clears Kambala Bill
The Union Ministry of Law and Justice has cleared the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Karnataka Amendment) Bill 2017. Primarily, this Kambala is the traditional slush track buffalo race in the Karnataka State. Many protests have raised their voice on this Kambala. On February 13, 2017, Kambala organizers in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts have passed the Bill to free the Kambala and bullock-cart racing from the ambit of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
UGC and AICTE to be replaced with Heera
Finally, Mr.Narendra Modi govt will replace the University Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education with Higher Education Empowerment Regulation Agency i.e., Heera. Human Resource Development Ministry and the Niti Aayog will work on this new law.
Madhya Pradesh State Govt launches farmers debt relief scheme
Recently, the MP state Govt has launched the Krishi Rin Samadhan Yojana for Farmers. The Central government has allocated Rs 1,000 crore for this scheme. Through this “Krishi Rin Samadhan Yojana” scheme, the interest rate on loans would be less. And this will ultimately help the defaulting farmers to get loans.

Virat Kohli is the only Indian on the list at the 89th position. The 28-year-old batting sensation has earned $22 million in the last year. Indian-American Raja Chari got a place among 12 NASA astronaut candidates
NASA has finally has chosen 12 astronaut candidates among 18,000 applications. Indian-American Raja Chari, a Lieutenant Colonel with the US Air Force got a place in this list. If everything goes well, Chari will become the third person of Indian origin from the US after the late Kalpana Chawla and current NASA astronaut Sunita ‘Suni’ Williams to fly to space.
