WEF – Delhi – October
In New Delhi WEF (World Economic Forum), will host an annual India Economic Summit of it on October 6-7. For this Over 500 Political Leaders and business people including top CEOs and Policymakers will attend. The theme of this year is ” Fostering an Inclusive India through Digital Transformation”. WEF is known for it’s five-day annual meet in Switzerland, Davos attended by top leaders in academia, business, civil society, politics, media, arts & culture and international organizations.
Rajasthan – approves – Sewage & waste water policy
The Sewage and waste water policy has approved by the Rajasthan for the first time. It was accepted by the Vasundhara Raje who was the chief minister of Jaipur. Under this policy, all heritage cities, district headquarters, and cities which have more than one lakh population will be included. The waste water will be used for irrigation & agricultural work. Next 30 years requirement will be covered by this policy. It will be compulsory for every house to connect with sewage system in those cities which will have 100% sewage system in next 5 years.
SBI – Cheap Loan Home Schemes – Public Sector
SBI (State Bank of India), which is the largest public sector bank in India has launched the two new schemes for the employees of state and central, a public sector undertaking Defense personnel and employees. SBI has Introduces “Privilege Home Loan” for GOVT employees & “Shaurya Home Loan” for Defence Personnel with pensionable service. Without any processing fees, the loans will be available under this scheme. The rates of interest will be 0.05% less than current interest rates on home loans. The recipient will enjoy the cheaper interest rates & they extended installment tenure up to 75 years of age.
Neyveli Lignite – 1200 MW – Thermal Power Project
NLC (Neyveli Lignite) is planning to retrieve the 1200 MW (RTPP) Raghunathpur Thermal Power Project of DVC (Damodar Valley Corporation). The proposed assumption will do through JVC (Joint venture company) with an equity shareholding of 74:26. RTPP consists of 2 units of 600 MW each & both units have been commissioned on March 2016.
Pushpa Kamal Dahal – Prime Minister – Nepal
Pushpa Kamal Dahal the Maoist Party Chief, also known as Prachanda, has elected as the Nepal Prime Minister. The Parliament has elected Kamal Dahal with 363 favor & 210 against. After a gap of seven years, Kamal Dahal returns to this post.

Microsoft of India has announced the name of Anant Maheshwari as the president of it. He will take over this post on September 1st and will take over the operations of the company on January 1st. Nobel Laureate – Ahmed Zewail – Passes Away
Ahmed Zewali who was the science & technology advisor to Obama & the first science envoy U.S to the Middle East has passed away in U.S. For his pioneering work in femtochemistry he was awarded the Noble chemistry prize in 1999. He was born in Cario. Ahmed was 70 years old.

The one of the best Racer in formula one, Former Ferrari driver Chris Amon who was 73 years old struggling with cancer passes away. In 1960’s and 70’s he was part of a well-known trio in new Zealand drivers competing. He born in Bulls and he started driving at the age of six.
