Six Years Boy – Guinness Record
Om Swaroop Gowda who was six years old boy has set a world record fro covering the longest distance by limbo under the cars. He secured the Guinness world record title after the successful attempt of traveling 65.283 meters distance by maintaining the splits position by holding his body just above the ground. Swaroop cleared 36 cars during the challenge at Orion Mall in Bangalore. Rishi Nath, the Official Guinness world record adjudicator, attended for this event to make sure that all the rules are followed correctly or not.
Union Cabinet – Narendra Modi
The union cabinet chaired by P.M Narendra Modi to transfer the 12 acres of (NTCL) National Textile Corporation Ltd., Indu-6 Mill land to the Maharashtra Government to construct the memorial of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Union Cabinet has also approved rates for SUC (Spectrum Usage Charge). The 3rd approval by Union Cabinet has given to Motor Vehicle Bill 2016 to improve road safety in the country. The 4th approval is for a signing of new ASA (Air Services Agreement) between India & Lao PDR (Lao People’s Democratic Republic). The 5th approval by Union Cabinet has given for making suitable amendments in the Central List of OBCs by way of correction or deletion of castes applicable to A.P & newly formed Telangana State as per the advice received from NCBC (National Commission for Backward Classes).
IOC – Five New Sports – Olympic – Tokyo 2020
IOC (International Olympic Committee) has agreed to add the five games in Olympics Tokyo. The five Games are Skateboard, Baseball-Softball, Climbing, surfing, and Karate. The decision was taken by 129th IOC Session being held in Rio de Janerio. These new games do not affect the existing games. By the addition of these new sports the total we have 18 events.
The 23rd Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana awarded has been awarded to Shubha Mudgal. She is honored for her Excellent contribution in promoting the Communal harmony peace & goodwill on 20 August 2016 in Jawahar Bhawan Auditorium. Mudgal was a well-known singer of Khayal, Hindustani classical music, Indian pop music, Dadra, and Thumri.
Nimesh Kampani – Managing Director – JM Financial Ltd
The managing director of JM Financial Ltd, Nimesh Kampani has resigned on 30th September 2016. He will continue as the Non-Executive Chairman and board of director for the few group companies in JM Financial. His son Vishal kampani is succeeded as the Managing Director of JM Financial from October 1st, 2016.

Sumitra Mahajan, the Lok Sabha speaker, has initiated the DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organisation) exhibition for three days in parliament Premises of New Delhi. This exhibition has the state of the art defense technologies, systems, and products which were developed by various DRDO Laboratories. This will include BrahMos missile, the ‘Arjun’ main battle tank, Airborne Early Warning and Control System, Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher ‘Pinaka’ Various type of Radars and other products.

The New general manager of ICF (Integral Coach Factory) is Sudhanshu Mani. Before this, he worked as the Chief Mechanical Engineer. He belonged to the 1979 batch of IRSME. His experience is 36 years in Indian railways. The areas are project management, workshop management, R&D, and railway operations.
Shipping Corporation of India – MOU – Growth Plans
Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. has signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Ministry of Shipping for financial year 2016-17. The MOU, which is based on MOU guidelines 2016-17 issued by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE). It was signed by Secretary (Shipping), Shri Rajiv Kumar, IAS, Chairman, and Managing Director Capt. B.B. Sinha, Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., at New Delhi.
