Goa – 7th Pay Commission
Laxmikant Parsekar, the Goa CM has expressed the 7th pay commission recommendations will be implemented from November 1st. The pending arrears from January 2016 to October 2016 will be deposited in the employee PF (provident fund) & NPS (National Pension System). The provision of Rs.2,553 crores has made in state budget towards the implementation.

RBI – Cooperative Bank – Chattisgarh
Under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, RBI imposes a penalty of Five Lakh Rupees on two cooperative banks of Chhattisgarh. The two banks are, Zila Sahakari Kendriya Bank Maryadit and Raipur Urban Mercantile Cooperative Bank Limited. These two banks violated the “Know Your Customer” Rules.

Vinod Rai – Steps Down – IDFC Bank’s board
Vinod Rai who is the CAG (Former Comptroller and Auditor General) has stepped down from IDFC Bank Board. But he will continue as the non-executive independent chairman of IDFC Ltd. To avoid the conflict, Vinod Rai has taken this decision because he was appointed as the chairman of BBB ( Bank Board Bureau) on 28th February 2016. He is the 11th CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) of India.

CM Naveen Patnaik has 100 multi-purpose shelter houses to the people of Odisha for the use during floods & cyclones with an aim to ensure zero casualties during calamities.
