Kotak Mahindra Bank which is the private sector bank has announced the availability of the Flipkart’s mobile site in its mobile banking app to give the customer a secure in-app shopping environment. With this feature, the customer’s can now shop happily. It will allow checking faster billing & delivery details which are already available with the bank will not be needed to be entered again.
Birender Singh Yadav – next HC – Ghana
Birender Singh Yadav, who was currently working as the Joint Secretary in Ministry. Now he has appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the West Africa’s Republic of Ghana. He replaces the K. Jeeva Sagar.

Near Calicut University campus by Kerala Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan, a first-of-its-kind touch and feel garden for visually impaired people in the country was inaugurated. President approves – six new IITs – one NIT – AP
Pranab Mukherjee, the President, has given his incline to set up the six new IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology) in places of Palakkad, Jammu, Bhilai, Goa and Tirupati. President has given his assent to the law for the establishment of a NIT (National Institute of Technology) in AP.
Assam – the first state – GST
Assam is the first state to ratify Goods & Services Tax Constitutional Amendment Bill. When the ratification of at least 15 states to make it a law, the Parliament had earlier cleared the bill to usher in a uniform tax regime throughout the country. The Centre seeks to release the GST by April 1, 2017.
NABARD – Rs 26.06 crore – Punjab
NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) has sanctioned Rs 26.06 crore to the Punjab government. For villages and low-lying areas, the fund has been sanctioned for tackling waterlogging by constructing lift schemes. This project will reclaim 5,913 hectares land in 87 villages of Fazilka & Muktsar districts.

Apple – Flipboard Co-Founder – Health Software Role
Evan Doll who is the Flipboard Co-founder has been rehired by the Apple Inc to work on health-related software. From 2003 to 2009, he worked as the Software Engineer and also helped to develop the first iPhone O.S. Doll left Flipboard in October 2015.
