Sushri Uma Bharti who was the Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation has launched the various Projects on the Bank of Ganga worth Rs. 560 crore under Namami Gange programme at Ganga Barrage in Kanpur. the projects are,
- Interception and Diversion plan of Sisamau drain: Rs. 63 crore
- Networking schemes at Bithoor: Rs. 397 crore
- Riverfront development scheme at Bithoor: Rs. 100 crore
- Ghats & five crematoria will be constructed at Bithoor
BSNL – Microsoft India – effective connectivity – telecom solutions
BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) inks pact with Microsoft India to offer telecom & the IT solutions for big businesses promoting the demand for IT and cloud services. The agreement was signed & exchanged by BSNL chairman & managing director Anupam Shrivastava & Microsoft India chairman Bhaskar Pramanik.
IOA chief Ramachandran – Olympic Order
N. Ramachandran who was the president of IOA (Indian Olympic Association) was awarded the Olympic Order for his outstanding services to the Olympic movement. The Olympic Order is the biggest award of Olympic Movement & he is awarded for particularly distinguished contributions to the Olympic Movement, that is, recognition of efforts worthy of merit in the cause of sport.
