Newtons laws of Motion
Newtons First law of motion.
Newton’s first law of motion states that an object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion remains in motion with the same velocity unless acted upon by what we call an unbalanced force
Newtons Second law of motion.
The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object
Newton’s third law of motion.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object.
Vector, in physics, a quantity that has both magnitude and direction. It is typically represented by an arrow whose direction is the same as that of the quantity and whose length is proportional to the quantity’s magnitude.
Although a vector has magnitude and direction, it does not have the position.
That is, as long as its length is not changed, a vector is not altered if it is displaced parallel to itself.
A scalar or scalar quantity in physics is a physical quantity that can be described by a single element of a number field such as a real number. A scalar is usually said to be a physical quantity that only has magnitude and no other characteristic.
This is in contrast to vectors, tensors, etc. which are described by several numbers that characterize their magnitude, direction, and so on. The concept of a scalar in physics is essentially the same as in mathematics.
