Job Responsibilities:

Design and Develop LookML Models:

• Create and maintain LookML models that define the data structure and business rules for analysis. 

Build Looker Dashboards and Reports:

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Looker's visualization capabilities. 

Collaborate with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with business users and other teams to understand their needs and translate them into effective data solutions. 

Optimize Performance:

• Implement best practices for LookML performance, including caching and data modeling techniques. 

Manage Code Changes:

• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage LookML code and ensure efficient collaboration. 

Validate Data:

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating data using Looker's SQL Runner. 

Integrate with Other Tools:

• Integrate Looker with other tools and platforms for comprehensive data visualization and analysis. 

Provide Technical Expertise:

• Offer technical guidance on Looker best practices, data modeling, and architecture. 

Stay Updated:

• Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Looker, SQL, and related technologies. 

Required Skills:

• Strong SQL Skills: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries is essential for working with LookML. 
• LookML Expertise: A solid understanding of LookML syntax, data modeling concepts, and best practices. 
• Data Modeling: Experience with data warehousing platforms like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
