Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, Support and Administration of Morningstar’s Global linux servers.
• Should be ready to work in18/5 rotation shifts and on-call on weekends.
• Good knowledge and hands on practice on of RHEL 6.X - 7.X
• Should have good understanding of NFS, CIFS protocols.
• Should have a strong knowledge and hands on practice on Yum repository.
• Should have hands on experience of linux boot process and file systems.
• Good understanding of linux kernel
• Hands on knowledge of PV, Volume Groups and LVM
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
• Should have good knowledge and Hands on practice for Selinux modules and policies.
• Good understanding and hands on practice of AD authentication
• Prepare and maintain standard operating procedure document.
• Troubleshoot issues related to server booting and related to file system.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Science or Information Technology or any equivalent field with strong academic credentials is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a linux support role.
• Good English communication and presentation skills (written & verbal).
• An ability to demonstrate a focus on attention to detail and high-quality results.
• Solid understanding of linux fundamentals and concepts.
• Experience on kernel patching.
• Good understanding of Vmware
• Basic understanding of Storage & Backup
