About KSRSAC Recruitment

The Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Center (KSRSAC) was established in 1986 and has been designated as the Node Agency for the Implementation of Remote Sensing Programs (including Photogrammetry) and GIS in the State. .2002. KSRSAC will be the deposit of information/data/ maps collected by the Center or any government department, legal board or company in the form of a geographic information system and remote sensing.

The nodal agency will create GIS in base maps and general/common features and provide comprehensive remote sensing and GIS services to all departments. Hierarchical departments should consult KSRSAC before starting work on updating GIS data and personalizing GIS applications. The data must be transferred to the NOD Agency as work begins. The nodal agency will develop the remote sensing planning/architecture and the implementation/feasibility of new proposals /coding/standardization/ training and will organize periodic workshops to improve interaction and coordination between the line departments.

Since then, KSRSAC has been coordinating and providing the required GIS information/maps and training to the line departments. The KSRSAC Executive Committee, by the Chief Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reform and Government Personnel in charge of the orientation and monitoring of activities. The secretaries / senior secretaries of various technical departments and experts in the field of central government institutions/organizations. They are members of the executive committee with the director, KSRSAC as a secretary member.
