RRB Safety Category Recruitment 2017: Recently, Railway authority met for safety concerns in Indian Railways & staff required for it. The General Managers and Board members discussed on problems and solutions. One of the most important decisions taken in the meeting was to recruit one lakh candidates under Safety Category (Sanraksha Shreynee) in Indian Railways through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Leading daily Dainik Jagran Hindi, Allahabad edition published a report of the meeting.
The posts under safety category vacant for a long time. That a move is being taken to fill them now is a good news for candidates, as well as, the passengers.
RRB Safety Category Jobs 2017 – 1 Lakh Vacancies
RRB Safety category Recruitment 2017 will be open for the posts of the driver, station master, maintenance employees, loco running staff, guard, control signal inspector, and yard staff, technology supervisor, & others. The recruited aspirants will be appointed across 96 divisions in India. These divisions come under 17 zones of Indian railway which are Central, East Central, Eastern, East Coast, Northern, North Eastern, North Central, North Western, Northeast Frontier, South Central, Southern, South East Central, South Eastern, South Western, West Central, Western, and Metro.
It has also reported that the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will be responsible to fill 50% Group C posts. Railway Recruitment Board will also be given the responsibility to fill 50% Group D posts. And the remaining vacancies are to be filled by the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC).

The details of the examination not yet announced. However, it is expected that the recruitment process might be done on the basis of exams. Further, these exams may be online. Because last year NTPC recruitment Exam was held online and was a success.
Indian Railway recruitment is long awaited. Several news reports have been making rounds since the beginning of the year. As per reports, Indian Railway notified that 90,000 posts for the safety category staff were vacant in the year 2012. In that all, 2.1 lakh vacancies were notified in the same year. Until the end of the year 2015, the count of vacancies was 1,24,201 and in the year 2016, it went up to 1,22,763.
According to the recent reports presented by Indian Railways Board to the Parliament currently only 700,000 railway safety staff is available. The figure is definitely less for the world fourth-largest railways in the world.
The impact of the vacancies is very much evident as it ultimately the cause of the recent fatal rail accidents. The NITI Aayog study shows that since 2012, 6 out of 10 rail accidents were caused due to the negligence & mistake of the railway staff.

Good news is that the Ministry of Railways (Railway Recruitment Board) has recognized the need to recruit candidates. Piyush Goyal, the new Minister of Railways and Coal, has made the safety of the passengers the paramount concern. He has also suggested that out of turn promotion should be awarded to those who will take timely actions to prevent mishaps.
Candidates who are looking forward to Indian railway recruitment 2017 must keep their Aadhar Card ready. Indian Railway has already mentioned it clear that it will be required to apply.
