Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2 had been conducted successfully on 26 August 2015 by State Examination Board, Gujarat. The test was organized for determining the eligibility of applicants as teachers in Gujarat state. It was held at various centres in Gurajat. Gujarat TET Exam

Teacher Eligibility Test is an Indian entrance examination for teachers which is mandatory for getting into teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. There will be two papers of which Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting to teach from Class 1 to Class 5 and while Paper 2 is meant to teach the students from Class 6 to Class 8. The examination  is conducted by both the Central and State governments in India. Most of the states conduct their own TET and the main objective of conducting the test is to fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. The exam  was introduced by the Government of India to improve the standards in teaching. It was held for the first time in 2011. For teachers already working, they are supposed to clear the exam in two years time.

The objective of the establishment of State Examination Board is to arrange examination, graduate level and post graduate level examinations and awarding different professional Diploma and Certificates for General knowledge, knowledge of different subjects like Sports, Drawing, Architecture of the students studying in the various schools and high schools.
