West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board was started in 1962. It was established for the purpose of holding Common Entrance Examinations for the Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the State of West Bengal. JEE examination is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges, all over the country. There are 2 types in JEE examination. Those are JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The candidates who want to place in Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIT)’s, National Institutes of Technology (NIT)’s, Central Funded Technical Institute (CFTI)’s and IIEST Shibpur have to attend for JEE Mains Exam. JEE Advanced exam is for admission in to Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)’s, and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. The candidates who have qualified for JEE Mains are eligible to JEE Advanced. Every year lakh’s of members attend for JEE Mains. There are 2 papers for JEE Mains. They are paper 1 and paper 2. The paper 1 is for B Tech and BE students. The paper 2 is for B.Arch and B.Planning students.
