Assam Public Service Commission

The Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on 1st April 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935. The Assam Public Service Commission has to perform the duties and functions as specified in its Regulations. The Prime duties and functions of the Commission are to recommend candidates for direct recruitment to the various services of the State Government, to advise the government relating to the method of recruitment to Civil Services, to conduct departmental examinations for Government services, etc. The Official website of APSC is www.apsc.nic.in.

Assam PSC C.C Pre Exam Pattern

Assam PSC C.C Pre Exam Pattern is given here. The APSC Combined Competitive Written Examination consists of two stages:

1. The Preliminary.
2. The Main Examination.

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of two hours duration each. This examination is meant to serve as the screening test only. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to Main examination are not counted for determining the final selection.

The key features of APSC C.C Prelims Written Exam are:  

• The questions are of multiple choice objective types.
• The exam consists of two papers.
• Duration of each paper is 2 hours.
• OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheet will be provided for answering questions.
• Candidates will have to use ONLY BLACK BALL PEN.
• This Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only.
