Central Institute for Cotton Research

The Central Institute for Cotton Research is also called as CICR. It is a central research institute in India. CICR was established in the year 1976. CICR headquarters are located at Nagpur. CICR other regional units are placed at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and Sirsa, Haryana. CICR was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It was established to promote long-term research efforts in cotton production and provide support and conduct applied research on cotton.
