The Jharkhand PSC Civil Services Exam consists of 3 Phases. Candidates will be selected based upon their performance in the following tests :

1. Preliminary Test.
2. Mains Exam.
3. Personal Interview.

The JPSC Civil Services Mains Exam consists of the following features :

• The Exam is of Conventional type i.e it consists of Descriptive  Questions.
• It consists of 6 papers.
• Duration of each paper is 3 Hours.
• Paper 1 & 2 consists of Languages & each is of 100 marks.
• Paper 3 consists of Social Studies and is of 200 marks.
• Paper 4 consists of Indian Polity and is of 200 marks.
• Paper 5 consists of Indian Economy and is of 200 marks.
• Paper 6 consists of General Science & Technology and is of 200 marks.
• The exam is conducted for a total of 1000 marks.
