About Prasar Bharati

Prasar Bharati Board was established on 23rd November 1997. It is a Statutory autonomous body created by an Act called Prasar Bharati Act. Prasar Bharati Delhi is the largest Public Broadcasting agency. The media units working under this are All India Radio and Doordarshan. The primary duty of the Corporation is to organise and conduct public broadcasting services to inform, educate and entertain the public and to ensure a balanced development of broadcasting on radio and television.
