SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern Details

The SSC CGL Tier I Exam consists of the following features:

• The Tier I Exam is the Objective type with 200 Multiple Choice Questions.
• The Exam will have 4 sections.
• Questions will be asked from General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Ability, General English, etc.
• Each Section consists of 50 Questions.
• Duration of the exam is 2 Hours.
• Total Marks for the SSC CGL Tier I Exam is 200 marks.
• There is a negative mark of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
• Each Question carries one Mark.

Candidates who qualify for the SSC CGL Tier I Exam will appear for the SSC CGL Tier II Exam.

The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam consists of the following features:

• The Tier I Exam is the Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions.
• The Exam will have 2 sections common to all.
• There will be 3rd section for candidates who are appearing for the Commerce / Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics Paper.
• Questions will be asked from  Quantitative Ability & General English in Sections I & II.
• Section I consists of 100 Questions conducted for 200 Marks.
• Section II consists of 200 Questions conducted for 200 Marks.
• Section III is conducted for 200 Marks with 100 Questions.
• Duration of each section is 2 Hours.
• There is a negative mark of 0.5 for every wrong answer for Section I & III.
• There is a negative mark of 0.25 for every wrong answer for Section II only.
