Info About TET Exam

TET Stands for Teacher Eligibility Test and is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. TET was introduced by the Government of India to improve the standards of teaching. It was held for the first time in 2011. For teachers already working, they are supposed to clear the exam in two years time. TET is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. All graduates, including B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, etc. are eligible to take the test. All B. Ed. graduates need to pass this exam to work as a teacher. A candidate has to score over 60 per cent to clear the eligibility test. There will be two Papers in this exam. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. TET Exam is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET Examination. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) maintains the database.

About TRBT

The government of Tripura has constituted the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for selection of candidates at the elementary level (for classes I to VIII). TRBT also holds the selection test for Graduate Teachers (for classes IX-X) and selection test for Post Graduate Teachers (for classes XI-XII). The Office of the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) is located in the premises of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Kunjaban, Agartala and exercises power throughout the state of Tripura. Tripura TET Exam Pattern 2025

Tripura TET Syllabus is given below. The  T-TET Exam Pattern is as follows:

There will be two papers of T-TET.

(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Note: The Main question paper shall be Bilingual. In language as decided by appropriate Government &  English Language.
