Indian Navy Syllabus 2018 – SSR Exam Pattern

With the help of the Indian Navy Sailor SSR Exam Pattern, the applicants can know the details like the duration of the exam and the weightage of the marks for each section and the total number of questions. So, the applicants should prepare according to the weightage of the marks. The candidates have to give more importance to the topics having high weightage.

Selection Procedure for Indian Navy Sailor SSR Recruitment 2017

The applicants will be selected based on their performance in the following rounds. So, the applicants should qualify in all the rounds given below to obtain final employment.

Indian Navy Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) Exam Pattern 2018

Indian Navy Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) Exam Pattern is given below. Candidates applying for Senior Secondary Course released under Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2017 will be selected based on the following process.

• Written Exam.
• Physical Fitness test.
• Medical test.

Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.

The Exam Pattern for Written Test is as follows:

1. 1. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
   2. The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
   3. The question paper will be of 10+2 standard.
   4. Duration of examination will be one hour.
   5. The candidates are required to pass in all sections and aggregate.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT): – PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Medical Standards:-

• Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
• Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.
• The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace as well as war conditions as per Navy Order (Special) 01/2008.
